One of the first things you’ll notice about the Guppie is the intricate detail in its color patterns. Until now, these colors have only been available on the hand-painted wooden lures crafted by Joe Peterson.

Now, Strike Pro and CWC, in collaboration with Peterson, are bringing these unique color designs to a wider audience for the first time. The color scheme combines paint or glitter inside the lure’s transparent body—a unique process—with traditional coloring on the outside. This mimics Peterson’s technique of layering colors between topcoat layers to create a 3D effect. Strike Pro has also recreated the distinctive 3D eyes that TrueGlide lures are renowned for.

In addition to the Guppie’s stunning finish, it has several unique features that make it an exceptional big fish lure. Its compact and convex body shape ensures excellent hooking ability, with hook points always exposed regardless of angle. The body profile and shape also create a pronounced belly flash and roll. Thanks to the innovative screw at the back of the lure, you can easily swap tails, adding even more versatility. Experiment with different tail types to change the lure’s action.

The Guppie DS (Down Size) is a shallow model. The body measures 9 cm, and with the tail included, the total length is approximately 17 cm. The Guppie Jr comes equipped with a traditional tail.
